Make Your Own Putting Green
Making your own backyard putting green isn't as
hard as you may think it is. It's always a very enjoyable past time. Believe
it or not, it is possible to make your very own private putting green in
your yard.
A regular PGA tour putting green can cost upwards of $50,000 to make,
but luckily for you, it won't cost you anywhere near that price, but even
for a good looking, well surfaced (bent grass) backyard golfing green, done
properly, it can set you back up to $1000 or more.
Maintaining a putting green isn't all that easy as well, but it is
fun. You cannot use a standard mower to mow a putting green. You need the
right type. You need to cut your grass at least twice a week, if not three
times a week.
You also have to irrigate, fertilize, fungicide, herbicide, pesticide
and aerate often.
Just because you need a special mower, doesn't mean you can't have your
own putting green. In fact, you can get the mowers you need for under $300
in total. You will need to buy a reel type mower that can cut and roll your
green at a height of 3/16 of an inch.
Go into any mower shop and ask them what type of push mower will do that
job for you.

landscape, remember that there are four seasons. You will want flowers
and shrubs which bloom during different times of the season, autumn

Plan before you dig a water garden. Before you even start to think of digging to put in a water garden, make sure you plan everything in advance. Dimensions, the type of water garden you want to have, how deep it will need to be and if you need any permits to do so. If in doubt, call a professional out to help you. That's why they are there.
